How to Upload Your Effect to Instagram / Facebook

When you are happy with your effect, you can submit it to be published. But if you still don’t find an AR developer, you can easily contact me and we will create together whatever you want.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only upload your effect to either Instagram or Facebook and not both platforms! This cannot be changed afterwards either!

If you’re publishing to Instagram, you’ll need to follow extra guidelines .

1. LOG INTO SPARK AR HUB

Go to the “Manage effects”. You will be prompted to log into your Facebook account. Once you are logged in, the Spark AR Hub will open.

2. UPLOAD YOUR EFFECT TO THE HUB

Click on “Publish an effect” in the top left corner. Then follow the steps on the screen. Once you have uploaded your effect and provided all the necessary information, you only have to wait for the approval.

If you have a filter effect like mine, the category that you have to select is “Color and Light”.

3. NAMING

When uploading your effect to one of the platforms (Facebook or Instagram), make sure you select a suitable name for your effect that matches it. For example, the names of the effects that I have uploaded describe the PRESETS that I used to create and that everybody can use for their FEED.

For example PRESETS that was made in PARIS I called PARIS PRESET MOOD or PARIS VINTAGE, so all the names was inspired by the places.

4. MEDIA:

Media materials is very important. It shows how your effect works! I recommend to record demo videos with the good daylight.

Speaking about icon, it can be very different. You can choose photo or sketch. And don’t forget do describe your effect properly.

Before people can use your effect it'll be reviewed to make sure it meets the Spark AR Review Policies and Spark AR and Frame Studio Terms, as well as our Community Guidelines on Instagram or Community Standards on Facebook. This can take up to 10 business days.

5. EFFECT’S INSIGHTS

Once your effect have been approved, you can find insights on it in the Spark AR hub. These insights include the number of impressions for your effect, how often an effect has been used, and how often a picture or video has been shared that used the effect.

So look it’s not so complicated.

Hope you will enjoy your effect. Wish you great insights and a lot of happy followers.

Stay tuned,

Yours Marina Braun
